Petr Bařinka, MgA., is a Czech visual artist and educator. He studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague under Prof. Kurt Gebauer before completing postgraduate studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava under Prof. Ivan Csudai.

His work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the Czech Republic and internationally, and is represented in the collections of the and other public and private collections. A recipient of the National Gallery 333 Art Award and the ESSL Art Award: VIG Special Invitation, Bařinka brings extensive contemporary artistic practice and exhibition experience to his teaching.

Sean McAlorum is a British designer, educator, and practicing artist with more than 30 years of experience in graphic design, advertising, publishing, and higher education. His career spans the creative industries and academia, combining professional practice in advertising and editorial design with teaching, curriculum development, and artistic practice.

McAlorum joined Anglo-American University in 2026. Alongside his role at AAU, he continues to teach at Prague City Study Centre (Teesside University), where he currently serves as Program Coordinator, having previously held the position of Program Leader. In these roles, he has contributed to curriculum development, established industry partnerships, and mentored emerging designers through live projects, internships, and professional collaborations.

His teaching and creative practice emphasize conceptual thinking, visual communication, and design as a tool for storytelling and problem-solving. Drawing on extensive experience in branding, editorial design, advertising, and art direction, he encourages students to combine strategic thinking with creative experimentation. Outside the classroom, McAlorum is an active painter who primarily works in oils. His recent paintings often feature children and figures gazing into the distance, reflecting his thoughts on an uncertain future. He continues to develop his artistic practice and is actively seeking opportunities to exhibit his work.

Tereza Violet Stehlíková is a Czech/British artist, researcher, writer, and educator. She holds a doctorate and master’s degree in Animation from the Royal College of Art in London, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Central Saint Martins. Her work spans moving image, installation, participatory performance, writing, and artistic research, with a focus on sensory and embodied experience in meaning-making.

Stehlíková began her research appointment at Anglo-American University in 2026. Her academic experience includes roles at the University of Westminster, the Royal College of Art, and the University of Creative Communication in Prague. She also teaches artistic research at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and UMPRUM.

Her cross-disciplinary research connects artistic practice, sensory studies, philosophy, experimental psychology, and art-science dialogue. Her monograph Exiled from Our Bodies: How to Come Back to Our Senses was published by Routledge in 2025. She is founder and editor of Tangible Territory and co-founder of “Ecstatic Truth,” an international symposium series on expanded animation and documentary practice.

Her films, installations and participatory performances have been presented internationally, including at Whitechapel Gallery, Danielle Arnaud Gallery, Prague Quadrennial, Somerset House, Stadtkino Vienna, the British Film Institute London Film Festival, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, and the Under_the_RADAR festival in Vienna.

Havranek es conservador jefe en . Posee un diploma francés de posgrado (DEA) en historia del arte, crítica y conservación por la Universidad de Rennes 2. De 1999 a 2016, fue conservadora y responsable de programas para la galería y el cine en el Instituto Francés de Praga.

Desde 2016, ha sido responsable de desarrollar la dramaturgia de Kunsthalle Praha, donde sus actividades curatoriales recientes han incluido instalaciones específicas para el sitio y nuevos encargos como el Proyecto de fachada (2017-2021), la Living Kunsthalle (2019), y la de Mark Dion Gabinete de curiosidades eléctricas (2021).

Havranek también ha comisariado la primera gran retrospectiva de Gregor Hildebrandt (2022-2023) y la exposición de Chiharu Shiota El alma inquieta (2024-2025). Fue comisaria de la exposición inaugural de Kunsthalle Praha, Kinetismus: 100 años de electricidad en el arte (2022), READ de Elmgreen & Dragset (2023-2024) y Lucia Moholy: Exposiciones (2024).

Havranek es editora y coeditora de varias publicaciones. En la AAU, imparte clases de estudios curatoriales.

Petříková es artista visual, cineasta e investigadora. Se licenció en FAMU (Centro de Estudios Audiovisuales) y UMPRUM (Estudio Supermedia) y en 2024 obtuvo el doctorado en Teoría del Cine y Multimedia por FAMU. 

En 2020, Petříková recibió el Premio Jacques Derrida para jóvenes investigadores en humanidades, concedido por la Embajada de Francia en Praga, y en 2023 fue seleccionada para formar parte del programa Berlinale Talents. Ha trabajado en el campo del cine experimental y la imagen en movimiento y ha participado en varias exposiciones individuales y colectivas. Němcová completó sus estudios de doctorado en la Facultad de Teología Católica de la Universidad Carolina, donde, entre 2017 y 2020, impartió clases sobre arte moderno y contemporáneo en el contexto de Praga. Anteriormente, de 2014 a 2015, trabajó en el Departamento de Bibliografía del Instituto de Historia del Arte de la Academia Checa de Ciencias, y posteriormente fue profesora experta en la Galería Nacional de Praga hasta 2020. Němcová es actualmente conservadora de la Colección de Arte del Siglo XIX y Modernismo Clásico de la Galería Nacional. Sus investigaciones y publicaciones se centran en el arte público checo de la primera mitad del siglo XX.

Dragan Dragin es un galardonado fotógrafo residente en Praga, originario de la antigua Yugoslavia (Serbia). Empezó como joven cineasta y más tarde obtuvo un máster en economía antes de dedicarse a la fotografía y comenzar su carrera en un periódico local de Novi Sad.

Sus fotografías han participado en exposiciones en diversos países, como la República Checa, Polonia, Alemania, Francia, Bélgica, Holanda, Italia, Serbia, Montenegro, Corea del Sur y México. Algunas de sus obras forman parte de las colecciones de instituciones como el Museo Tanz de Colonia, la Galería Nacional de Praga o el Instituto del Teatro de Praga, así como de colecciones privadas.

Dragan ha impartido clases en el Conservatorio Duncan Centre, en SIT Study Abroad y en la Academia de Verano BART de Montenegro, y amplió sus estudios de fotografía en la Escuela de Cine y TV de la Academia de Artes Escénicas (FAMU). Se trasladó a Praga en 1991.

Josef Zaruba-Pfefferman estudió Historia del Arte en la Universidad Carolina de Praga y Música en la Academia de Artes Escénicas. Está especializado en iconografía cristiana. En 2008 terminó sus estudios de posgrado /con un doctorado/ sobre la piedad medieval tardía (El Cristo dominical). Participó en un programa de intercambio Erasmus en la Universität der Künste de Berlín y en la Freie Universität de Berlín, y más tarde fue becario Fulbright durante un año. Desde entonces ha trabajado como profesor en numerosas universidades, entre ellas la Charles University y la University of Florida.

Hasta 2017 formó parte del consejo académico de Estudios Judíos de Praga, Facultad de Letras de la Universidad Carolina. Entre 2015 y 2019 fue comisario jefe del festival Sculpture Line, que instaló esculturas contemporáneas en muchas ciudades europeas. 

Zaruba también trabaja actualmente en la Universidad Técnica de Praga CVUT, en el Departamento de Arquitectura. En 2022 superó su proceso de habilitación con un trabajo relacionado con las relaciones interdisciplinares de la Música y las Bellas Artes.

Daniel se licenció en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Praga en 2004. Daniel Vlček se tomó un descanso de la pintura para volver a ella tras un desvío por el freetechno y varias formaciones musicales de diversos géneros. Sus últimas paráfrasis visuales de fenómenos sonoros -ya sean pintadas sobre lienzos, rayadas en paredes o en forma de instalaciones audiovisuales- incluyen residuos de la psicodelia sucia de la estética techno, así como alusiones a las transcripciones modernistas del sonido en imagen. Aunque se dedica principalmente a la pintura, sus exposiciones se complementan a menudo con un componente auditivo para subrayar la conexión esencial de su obra con el sonido. En su obra, Daniel suele hacer referencia a la industria, la autenticidad y dicotomías como lo invisible/visible, lo digital/analógico y lo hecho a mano/máquina. Daniel es miembro del grupo artístico Guma Guar y la mitad del dúo avant-pop ba:zel. También actúa en solitario bajo el nombre de Relaxcore.

Su música y sus investigaciones se han interpretado y publicado, respectivamente, en Estados Unidos, Canadá, México, Brasil, Ecuador, Rusia, Suecia, Bielorrusia, Serbia, Italia, República Checa, Eslovaquia, Polonia, España, Austria, Alemania, Bélgica, Inglaterra, Japón, Taiwán, Hong Kong, Tailandia y Malasia. Ha sido premiado por su trabajo y presentado en diferentes festivales, simposios y concursos internacionales, entre ellos Musica Nova (República Checa), PAYSAGES | COMPOSÉS (Francia) y el Festival y Simposio Internacional de Nueva Música de la Universidad Estatal de Pensilvania (EE.UU.).
