About the program

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is designed to cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset and provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to start, manage, and grow successful ventures in today’s dynamic business landscape. This program combines foundational business principles with specialized coursework in entrepreneurial strategies, innovation management, creativity, and venture creation.

Students learn to identify market opportunities, develop innovative business models, and navigate the challenges of launching and scaling new ventures. It also provides students with the hands-on, practical experience of running a company, while developing their operational, managerial, marketing and interpersonal skills. Industry experts regularly contribute to the program through guest lectures, including Thomas Archer Bata and Jan 膶urn (Apify, EY Prague, 2024 Tech Entrepreneur of the Year), who have previously guest lectured and are set to return in the upcoming academic year.

This concentration is closely linked with the Top Junior Achievement Start-up competition, especially through two concentration required classes: Entrepreneurship in Practice I and II. The competition on the national level has been won four times by the School of Business students, mainly composed by the Entrepreneurship concentration students.

Additional information

See what our students have to say

  • AAU gave me every opportunity to show up fully, and I took every one. Through the career office, I landed a sales role in Munich, and through the School of Entrepreneurship, I competed in Junior Achievement Europe and won the Czech Republic Nationals with my team. Those experiences built my confidence and resiliency. What I loved most was that I never had to put myself in a box 鈥 AAU supported my initiatives in both business and the arts, including hosting my first two one-woman shows.

  • Every university teaches theory, but what made AAU different were the people. Small classes meant professors knew you by name, challenged you personally, and genuinely cared about your future. The Entrepreneurship program pushed us to build real projects, blending theory with practical experience. One of my standout moments was representing AAU and the Czech Republic at the GEN-E festival in Athens and seeing our professors run toward us to celebrate on stage.
